Reading History across Space: The Room of Theories as a Web of Multiple Times in Don DeLillo’s Libra

This paper sheds light on the changing perspective of historiographic time in postmodernism and its tendency towards spatialization, as displayed Don DeLillo's Libra (1988). The suggests that Branch’s room theories leads to spatialization narrative, considering this is space where history leaves imprints past intersects with present. Noting spatialistion means simultaneous juxtaposition different times, manifests a moments, thus transporting reader plots times coexist spatially. It helps receive textualized version history, it embraces documents, archives, videos, reports are associated assassination John F. Kennedy. Branch displays relative nobody can reach historical truth. Thus, such reading less trodden, discusses how Branch's an outlet other times: conspirators’ Oswald’s biographical time, which makes historigographic novel seem more spatial.
